Soliciting Rules & Regulations

Transient Vendors:
ALL solicitors must be registered with the Sagamore Hills Police Department. Solicitation hours are Monday thru Friday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. There is a charge of $150.00 per solicitor. There is no charge for non-profit organizations and individuals who represent religious, charitable, or school groups.  Good for a period of ninety (90) days from issuance. There is a 24-hour waiting period from the time the permit is issued before solicitors are permitted to commence soliciting. A solicitor’s application must be filled out in full and "in person" with the Sagamore Hills Police Department.  All solicitors in Sagamore Hills Township are required to wear a photo ID badge with their name and address of the company they represent, which is not supplied by the Sagamore Hills Police Department.  Solicitors will be given a “No Knock” list of addresses.  If an address is on the “No Knock” list or a sign is displayed at the residence, the solicitor shall no go to that residence.
