Police Explorers Program

Explorers-fingerprintingExplorers Post consisting of area youth interested in a potential career in law enforcement. Members must have completed the 8th grade and be between the ages of 14-21 years old. Our post receives training by our officers in various categories, including but not limited to, Firearm Safety, Handcuffing Techniques, Traffic Stop Safety and Role Playing, Defensive Tactics, Fingerprinting and Radar Enforcement. The Law Enforcement Explorers participate in several local community events on an annual basis, such as Shop With A Cop, National Night Out Against Crime, Memorial Day Parade, Halloween Trick-or-Treat, SHMC Safety Day, Northfield Baptist Church Community Day, etc.

If you have a child that might be interested in joining our post please have them apply at our police station with our Post Advisor, Patrolman DeCrane.
