Proclamation Presented to Fire Chief Tim Black

The Sagamore Hills Township Board of Trustees presented a proclamation to Fire Chief Tim Black at last nights Trustee Meeting, expressing their sincere appreciation for his leadership the past twenty-eight months in Sagamore Hills, and wishing him much happiness in his retirement.

Chief Black began his career with the City of Macedonia in 1983 and has worked continually for the betterment of the Macedonia Fire Department, which adds to the health, safety and welfare of Nordonia Hills.

Twenty-four years of leadership as Chief has led to a remarkable level of professionalism between the Officers and Firefighters of the City of Macedonia.

Leadership is generally defined as “the capacity to make things happen that would otherwise not happen”, the consolidation of services with Sagamore Hills and Northfield Center Townships serving as a prime example.

Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement Chief Black!
