Sagamore Hills Township Park was started by a $162,000 grant awarded by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources in 1995. This Nature Work Grant made it possible for the township to buy the infrastructure for the park.
Townships in Ohio comprise over 40% of all local government. Sagamore Hills is one of 1308 townships in the State of Ohio. Our township has a Police Dept., Service Dept., Zoning and Park Dept., and is part of a Fire District.
When visiting Sagamore Hills please schedule time to view Brandywine Falls, which is located at the southern end of our township. A second option is to bring your bike and ride the towpath trail through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
